According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Education, this decision has been implemented since 10 years ago. That is, those whose certificates period has been completed during these years will also now be eligible for the teacher recruitment examination.

He further said that the respective State Governments and Union Territories will take necessary action to issue or issue fresh TET certificates to those candidates whose period of 7 years has already expired.
