India Post GDS Recruitment 2021: Apply For 4,368 Gramin Dak Sevak Vacancy In Bihar, Maharashtra, Know The Complete Process

Applications have been sought for recruitment to 4,368 posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks in Bihar and Maharashtra Postal Circle. It is worth mentioning that the application process has started from Tuesday 27 April 2021 to fill the 40 vacancies of Grameen Dak Sevaks in Bihar Circle and 19 vacancies of Grameen Dak Sevaks in Maharashtra Circle. The last date to apply for these posts is 26 May 2021. Please tell that these vacancies are for Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) and Dak Sevak. Interested candidates of Bihar and Maharashtra can register for these posts at The special thing is that there will be no written examination for these recruits. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in 10th standard.

Educational qualification

Candidates must have passed 10th standard from any recognized school education board. Along with this, English, Mathematics and Language should be studied as a compulsory or elective subject of the candidate. Knowledge of local language is also mandatory and candidates should have studied it till at least 10th standard.

Age Range

The minimum and maximum age limit for applying to these posts has been set between 18 and 40 years. Age will be calculated from 27 April 2021. Age limit has been given for some candidates of category.

GDS Recruitment: Selection Process

The selection of eligible candidates will be done through an Automated Generated Merit List as per the rules based on the applications submitted online. Only marks obtained in class 10th will be given priority. Higher qualification will not be given any preference.

Basic computer course certificate required

Candidates are required to have a basic computer training course certificate of at least 60 days from any computer training institute run by the central government or state government or universities or board or any private institute. If the candidate has studied computer at 10th or 12th or any other higher education level, then the basic computer knowledge requirement will be given the reallocation.
